Château Pillebois, located in Saint-Magne-de-Castillon is our Company’s headquarters. Our two Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux wines are produced here: Château Pillebois Tradition and Château Pillebois Vieilles Vignes. The soil is composed of sand and gravel and the vines are planted at 1.5m and 2m intervals. The wines are vinified and aged in the domain’s traditional concrete vat house. A proportion of the production is used for our ”vieilles vignes” (old vines) wine, which is barrel-aged and made from low yields of 40hl/ha. The remaining production is used for our ”tradition” wine. All of the harvested grapes are sorted by hand, as is the case for our Saint-Emilion Grand Cru.
